St Kilda Playgroup is the best place to play!
We have shaded outdoor space and 2 playgroup rooms with A/C for safe play. We have a wonderful range of toys, adult seating sofa, children’s table & chairs, and high chairs. Both rooms have direct access to the children’s toilet/changing area and the shared kitchenette, including filtered hot and cold water tap, and tea and coffee facilities. Our fantastic outdoor space is complete with a cubby, climbing equipment, soft matting, and two shade umbrellas.
ABOUT US
St Kilda Playgroup is a Community based not-for-profit, non-facilitated playgroup for children aged 0 to 5 years old. Created back in 2006, the SKPG is run by a committee of volunteer parents and brings together about a hundred local families.
St Kilda Playgroup members are parents and carers who meet regularly with their babies, toddlers, or preschoolers at the Bubup Nairm Family and Children's Centre, a purpose-built center, located at 99B Carlisle Street, St Kilda.
WE ARE MEMBER LED
Our members create age-based, and language sessions that run for 2 hours, 9am till 5 pm Monday through Friday. Each session needs a group representative or 'group leader'. They are there to welcome new members and make new friends by running a group whats app chat, as well as reporting any questions or concerns to the committee. Without a group leader, a play session cannot operate so they play a very importable role in our playgroup.
If you wish to create a new session please look at our start a playgroup page. Language sessions are run by members of the local community who wish to immerse their children in their native language/culture. We currently have German, Russian, Jewish Russian, Japanese, French, & Ukrainian playgroups.
